The Swindon School of Brass was set up in 1995 as part of the Swindon Pegasus committment to promoting brass playing among the younger generations. The band rehearses on a Wednesday evening:

  • Swindon School of Brass - Wednesday 7:30 to 8:15

As players progress, there is a clear line into the senior band, and many members of Pegasus are members of Swindon youth bands past and present. We provide a unique opportunity to continue to develop by becoming part of one of Wiltshire's top bands once players have outgrown the challenges of youth and lower section bands.

If you, your children or pupils would like to find out more about the School of Brass, please get in touch with us, or come along on a Wednesday evening. We look forward to hearing from you.

Swindon Pegasus Brass Band Society is dedicated to the art of music making through brass bands. As a registered charity,1035931, the Band is also committed to supporting other charitable causes. Established in 1907 as the Great Western Railway Staff Association Band, Pegasus is Swindon's oldest musical organisation, and is as much a part of Swindon's heritage as the railway and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
