Swindon Pegasus Brass Band Society is dedicated to art of music making through brass bands. As a registered charity, the band is also committed to supporting other charitable causes. Although the overheads of running a band are constantly increasing, whether through utility bills, insurance, instrument or music purchase, the band continually strives to support other organizations. This is either through direct fundraising, as with the Christmas fundraising campaign, or by providing a band at "cost" price to other organizations for their concerts.

The band is also available for bookings for corporate functions, weddings, village fetes and so on. Our schedule for the year is a balance of events designed to maximize fundraising whilst generating sufficient income to allow the band to continue to operate.

Established in 1907 as the Great Western Railway Staff Association Band, Pegasus is Swindon's oldest musical organisation, and is as much a part of Swindon's heritage as the railway and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
